Our yard sale has been rescheduled. Let's all hope for great weather because, once again, the yard sale is WEATHER PERMITTING.

Special help for Hercules

Hercules was brought to us a short time ago. He might have been abandoned after his owner died. A concerned person brought him to Pet Refuge. His fur was so matted that he had to be completely shaved. At that time the vet realized that something was wrong. He was started on diabetes treatment but a couple of days later went into diabetic crisis. He is currently in an emergency veterinary hospital receiving 24 hr care in an attempt to stabilize him. His hospital bill is expected to be at least $2000, and even after discharge he will need close monitoring and vet visits for some time and a special diet for life.

Please share this sweet cat's story, and if you are able to donate, we greatly appreciate it! No amount is too small. You can help this sweet cat have a chance for life and a forever home! Also, THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated. We REALLY appreciate your support.

Sweet senior cats need medical care
At Pet Refuge, we have many older cats who are with us for a long time, sometimes permanently. Older cats are not adopted as quickly and they often have medical needs. Cats like Gianna (pictured below). Gianna is 9 years old and was abandoned. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought to Pet Refuge where she waits for her forever home. Gianna needs medicine every day for her thyroid condition.

We are a no-kill shelter and to us that means that cats with treatable medical conditions get treatment. But these medicines and treatments add up, especially when we have a number of cats who need care. All donations from this fundraiser will go to medications and treatments for our needy and senior residents. All donations towards the care of these special cats will be very gratefully received. Thank you for helping these sweet older cats while they wait for their forever homes!

If you can donate ANY amount - however large or small - it would be a big help in allowing us to continue helping these precious cats. Also, a BIG thank you to all of you who have already donated. We REALLY appreciate your support. Also, would you please continue to SHARE this post on your own pages? That would also be a big help to us. Thank you again.
